Reveler Development, a leading real estate investment, development, construction and management company, and their commercial broker, Porta & Company, are thrilled to announce the opening of Bar Publica – a new kitchen, bar, and nightspot inspired by traditional Latin American recipes with a modern twist. Bar Publica is located at 82 Hanover Street and is now open to the public following its grand opening on Saturday, June 15.
Bar Publica is a new concept from Spencer Brantley, co-owner of Wilson County Barbecue, a popular eatery that neighbors Bar Publica at 82 Hanover Street. Brantley developed the restaurant and bar alongside business partners David Kelley and Ciaran Sheehan, co-owners of Portland’s Rí Rá Irish Pub & Restaurant. Bar Publica welcomes Dustin Williams as bar manager, who most recently was general manager and events manager at a Michelin-awarded, James Beard-nominated restaurant in Denver, CO. Jordi Harper joins as kitchen manager, who brings global experience to the team.
With a seasonal menu, Bar Publica features Latin American flavors with small, shareable plates inspired by street food. Bar Publica also showcases an expansive bar program, with fresh cocktails, a diverse mezcal collection, and a rotating craft beer and wine menu. The space boasts indoor-outdoor dining, featuring a unique combination of ample patio space and a dedicated rooftop bar to enjoy the sights of Portland and West Bayside. Rounding out the Bar Publica experience will be a focus on live music, hosting guest DJs on the weekends.
“Publica is a Latin word that means of or for the people, which encapsulates our vision for Bar Publica,” explains Brantley. “Bar Publica brings a fresh energy – with a unique, bar-led food concept imbued with an energetic atmosphere. We designed this space with community in mind, and to bring a vibrant, playful new offering to the area for neighbors and visitors alike.”
Bar Publica is located within Hanover Works, a growing mixed-use destination encompassing the retail and dining offerings along 82 Hanover Street and 52 Hanover Street in Portland’s West Bayside. Connected via a tree-lined, pedestrian easement, Hanover Works combines the existing businesses at 82 Hanover Street with the upcoming commercial spaces on the ground floor of The Armature, Reveler’s newest residential community.
