Reveler is thrilled to announce that The Armature at Hanover Works has officially opened to residents! Our latest mixed-use development in Portland’s West Bayside neighborhood, The Armature welcomed its first residents earlier this month and held a grand opening event following two years of construction.

The grand opening event hosted project partners, collaborators, and the company’s local management and development teams onsite at The Armature to formally introduce the community and toast to its progress. The Armature’s co-developers, John Laliberte, CEO of Reveler, and Mike Barton, Managing Director of Real Estate Development at Reveler, were in attendance to make introductory remarks and hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for the project. Guests were then invited to tour the property, including The Armature’s courtyard and pool, arcade bar, and sky lounge.

“This project has been years in the making, and it was made possible through the support and collaboration of our investors and dedicated project partners,” remarked John Laliberte, CEO of Reveler. “As Reveler’s largest development to date, we are excited to bring forward a new era of residential living with the official opening of The Armature.”

Located at 52 Hanover Street, The Armature includes 171 apartment homes consisting of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floorplans. Throughout the building’s eight floors, The Armature features a wide range of premier amenities, luxury finishes, and local art. On the ground floor, The Armature’s four commercial spaces will connect with local businesses along 82 Hanover Street, forming Hanover Works – a bustling retail and dining destination. Hanover Works will welcome commercial tenants to the mixed-use community in the coming months.

“The Armature was first imagined in 2017 with the purchase of the site from the City of Portland,” said Mike Barton, Managing Director of Real Estate Development at Reveler. “Here, actual engine armatures were once serviced by the garage on this site. Today, it now provides 171 new homes for Maine’s largest urban area.”

Reveler’s award-winning property management arm, Port Property, is managing The Armature onsite with a local leasing team. Project partners include Acorn Engineering, Androscoggin Bank, Community Bank, CUBE 3, Longfellow Communications, Machias Savings Bank, NBT Bank, Penobscot General Contractors and trade partners, Porta & Company, Thornton Tomasetti, Varney Agency and many others.
