Reveler Development is pleased to announce that Jibe Cycle, a Maine-founded boutique cycling studio known for its music-driven, community-focused classes, will relocate its Portland studio to Hanover Street and open this month.
The move marks an evolution for Jibe Cycle, which has operated on Free Street since 2018 and built a loyal following across southern Maine as well as South Carolina. The new Hanover Street location will allow the business to enhance its offering with a more accessible, single-level layout and upgraded equipment and amenities. The space was formerly leased to CycleBar.
“We’ve loved being on Free Street and are incredibly grateful for the community we built there over the past eight years,” said Joanna Witherill, owner and founder of Jibe Cycle. “This move gives us the opportunity to create a more seamless and elevated experience for our riders. Having everything on one level, along with improved space, lighting, and sound, allows us to focus even more on what makes Jibe special—connection, energy, and a workout that is as joyful as it is effective.”

The new studio will feature a large, open cycling room, high ceilings, and natural light in the lobby. There are also added benefits for members, including free parking and proximity to other fitness and wellness businesses.
Founded in 2018, Jibe Cycle has expanded from its original Portland location to Yarmouth and Charleston and Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, building a diverse and dedicated community of riders. Its 45-minute classes blend rhythm-based cycling with full-body choreography, creating an immersive experience designed for all fitness levels. Riders range from age 16-75.
Jibe Cycle joins the larger community at Hanover Works, a retail and dining destination that includes tenants such as the Hearts of Pine team store and Argenta Brewing. Centrally located in the West Bayside neighborhood of Portland, 65 Hanover Street offers mixed-use space with ample parking and pedestrian access.
“We’re focused on building places that feel active, welcoming, and well-used throughout the day,” said John Laliberte, CEO of Reveler Development. “Jibe Cycle brings a strong sense of energy to Hanover Works, and we’re excited to see them activate the space in a way that adds to the broader ecosystem we’re cultivating in West Bayside.”
Jibe Cycle will continue operating its Yarmouth location, while the Free Street studio will close as part of the transition. The brand’s two locations in South Carolina remain strong and thriving.
The studio is expected to open May 1, with introductory offers available for new riders. For more information, visit www.jibecycling.com.
