Reveler Development recently commemorated two significant milestones for The Levee — our newest mixed-use community in downtown Biddeford. This month, City of Biddeford officials and community partners attended a groundbreaking ceremony for The Levee’s new for-sale offerings, Landing on the Levee, along with a ribbon cutting event for its fully occupied residential community, Lofts on the Levee.
The groundbreaking ceremony marked the beginning of construction for Landing on the Levee, our first for-sale community. Located at 20 and 26 Upper Falls Road, Landing on the Levee will provide a range of for-sale options along the Saco River. 20 Upper Falls Road will feature modern one- and two-bedroom flats, while 26 Upper Falls Road will bring a select number of spacious four-story townhomes complete with private garages and roof decks. The groundbreaking event represents the successful expansion of riverside communities on The Levee along with Reveler’s commitment to offering a diverse range of housing options within downtown Biddeford. Our team has partnered with David Marsden of Marsden Real Estate/Bean Group to bring their extensive real estate experience to the project.
Simultaneously, the ribbon cutting for Lofts on the Levee celebrated the completion and lease-up of The Levee’s inaugural residential property. Following the launch of preleasing in December 2022, Lofts on the Levee was fully leased by our Port Property team after five months and opened for occupancy in March 2023. In early June, the community was fully occupied and finalized construction on all amenity spaces. Located in a historic mill building, Lofts on the Levee was previously underutilized and now features 96 design-forward apartments and a wide range of onsite amenities, including a two-story coworking space, rooftop lounge, and outdoor deck with 360-degree views of the Saco River.

The event was attended by city officials, including the Mayor of Biddeford, Alan Casavant; Biddeford’s Planning & Development Director, Gregory Mitchell; along with Executive Director of the Biddeford & Saco Chamber of Commerce, Jim LaBelle, city council members and community partners. Through a collaborative and concerted effort to revitalize Biddeford’s historic downtown and riverfront district, the City of Biddeford has been a key supporter of The Levee throughout every phase of development. Following the groundbreaking and ribbon cutting, the Biddeford & Saco Chamber of Commerce held a networking event at Lofts on the Levee’s new rooftop lounge and outdoor deck.

The Levee will feature four distinct developments along Upper Falls Road in Biddeford, making up the entirety of a peninsula’s edge and offering direct access to the RiverWalk and Pearl Street Park. Future plans for The Levee include the development of a second mixed-use property, featuring 56 apartments with ground-level commercial space, and an additional historic renovation which will include the repurposing of a brick warehouse to create a waterfront retail and dining destination for residents and the surrounding community.
